Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address several national and local issues, including military honors, housing affordability, and federal budget concerns.

On March 25, 2026, Moore posted about National Medal of Honor Day: “In honor of National Medal of Honor Day, I took to the House floor to recognize the American heroes who have earned our nation’s highest military honor, including some incredible service members from Utah. One of the first bills I worked on in Congress authorized a National Medal https://t.co/r4XMcEy12K”.

Two days later, on March 27, 2026, Moore addressed housing issues affecting Utahns: “For many Americans, owning a home has long been the most reliable path to building wealth and providing stability for the family. Unfortunately, the American Dream is becoming increasingly more difficult to achieve. Housing affordability is a top concern for Utahns who are often”.

Later that same day, he highlighted concerns over congressional control of federal spending: “Within the next few years, 80% of our budget will not be voted on by Congress. I’m proud to work with https://t.co/PazgJSK7Mq”.

Blake Moore has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Rob Bishop as representative for Utah’s 1st district. Born in Ogden in 1980 and currently residing in Salt Lake City, Moore graduated from the University of Utah in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
