Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several legislative and national issues through a series of posts on his social media account.

On January 26, Moore highlighted concerns about regulatory complexity, stating: “Over the past 50 years, the Code of Federal Regulations has grown to nearly 200,000 pages, including duplicative or outdated rules. These create unnecessary burdens for individuals and businesses. That’s why I introduced the Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Streamline the”.

The following day, on January 27, Moore commented on public reaction to a recent shooting incident in Minneapolis: “As things were unfolding on Saturday from the tragic and fatal shooting in Minneapolis, I received numerous messages demanding I immediately condemn what happened. I see the reporting at the same time as everyone else, and I try never to rush to judgment, something we can all do”.

On January 28, Moore turned attention to surrogacy industry oversight with a focus on foreign involvement: “Allowing foreign adversaries unrestrained access to the U.S. surrogacy industry is a national security and humanitarian crisis waiting to happen. I introduced the SAFE KIDS Act with @RepMoolenaar to prevent abuse in the American surrogacy industry and stop bad actors from taking https://t.co/eoAvfAoYT6”.

Moore has served as Utah’s representative since replacing Rob Bishop in 2021. Born in Ogden in 1980 and currently residing in Salt Lake City, he graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in 2005.
