Congressman Blake Moore, who has represented Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared a series of statements on his social media account addressing congressional events, border security policy, and technology legislation.
On April 29, 2026, Moore acknowledged a significant moment at the Capitol with a message: “A historic day in Congress! Thank you, King Charles III, for visiting us at the Capitol. Cheers! “
The following day, Moore criticized Democratic lawmakers’ stance on immigration and border security funding. On April 30, he posted: “Democrats give lip service to supporting border security, but their actions have been the opposite for the past 5 years. Under Biden, they supported open border policies and established sanctuary cities. Now, they refuse to vote for basic funding of immigration and border patrol”.
Later that same day, Moore addressed concerns about artificial intelligence and child safety online. He wrote: “While our AI development agenda should seek to innovate and break barriers, it must also protect children from addictive and manipulative technology. I introduced the GUARD Act with @ValerieFoushee to ensure minors are protected from chatbots that mimic romantic and social”.
Moore succeeded Rob Bishop as representative of Utah’s 1st district in 2021. Born in Ogden in 1980 and currently residing in Salt Lake City, Moore graduated from the University of Utah in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
