Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his official X account about local recreation, education outreach, and legislative efforts for veterans.
On September 22, Moore highlighted challenges facing trail maintenance and construction along the Wasatch Front: “Hiking and biking trails have always been a major component of recreation and community events along the Wasatch Front. Unfortunately, federal red tape has made it impossible for necessary trail maintenance to move forward and for the construction of new trails connecting the”.
The following day, September 23, he posted about school visits in his district: “I had a great time visiting schools throughout the First District yesterday. Amazing kids! Amazing teachers! It’s always a great day to talk to the next generation and hear their thoughtful questions.”
Later that same day, Moore addressed housing concerns for veterans at Hill Air Force Base: “As the representative of Hill Air Force Base and an active veteran community, improving servicemember housing has been a priority my entire time in Congress. I am proud to introduce the bipartisan Fair Housing for Disabled Veterans Act with my @WaysandMeansGOP colleagues to”.
Moore has represented Utah’s 1st District since 2021 after succeeding Rob Bishop. He was born in Ogden in 1980 and currently resides in Salt Lake City. Moore is an alumnus of the University of Utah with a BA degree earned in 2005.
