Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several issues on his social media account, ranging from international incidents to local nonprofit support and healthcare innovation.
On July 21, Moore commented on a recent incident in the West Bank, stating: “The death of an American citizen in the West Bank by a group of settlement residents on July 11 should have never happened and demands a full investigation from the Israeli government. The U.S. and Israel have a remarkable opportunity to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East” (July 21, 2025).
Turning to domestic issues, Moore highlighted the role of small nonprofits in Utah communities on July 22: “Small, local non-profit organizations are often on the frontlines of serving our communities. This is especially true in Utah, where the vast majority of nonprofits have fewer than 50 employees. I’m excited to work with @VernBuchanan to introduce the Small Nonprofit Retirement” (July 22, 2025).
In another post dated July 23, Moore discussed his participation in a bipartisan roundtable focused on healthcare: “It was great to be a part of the bipartisan roundtable with CMS Administrator Dr. Oz! We discussed health care innovation, helping Americans adopt healthier lifestyles, protecting taxpayers against waste, and my legislation to support access to healthcare and breakthrough” (July 23, 2025).
Moore has represented Utah’s 1st District since replacing Rob Bishop in Congress in 2021. Born in Ogden, Utah in 1980 and currently residing in Salt Lake City at age 42, he graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in 2005.
