Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on March 9, 2026, addressing legislative efforts and national security concerns.

In one tweet, Moore shared information about new legislation: “Learn more about the Event Contract Enforcement Act here: https://t.co/8CkphBcJEy” (March 9, 2026).

He also raised concerns regarding prediction markets and their potential risks to public safety and national security. Moore stated: “Under-regulated prediction markets have exposed America to needless public safety and national security risks by allowing traders to invest in outcomes related to sensitive matters like terrorism, assassination, war, or elections. Prediction markets also sponsor sports-related” (March 9, 2026).

Later that day, Moore highlighted a discussion with Russ Vought about fiscal policy priorities: “The @HouseBudgetGOP sat down with @RussVought47 for a discussion on our nation’s fiscal trajectory. I appreciated hearing his thoughts and asking him about OMB’s priorities in 2026. https://t.co/4G7MUVpL74” (March 9, 2026).

Blake Moore has served as the representative for Utah’s 1st District since replacing Rob Bishop in 2021. Born in Ogden in 1980 and currently residing in Salt Lake City, Moore graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in 2005.
