Congressman Blake Moore, who has represented Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting his appreciation for public service in Utah and his involvement with legislation tied to the upcoming Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
On July 16, 2025, Moore expressed gratitude toward Commissioner Anderson, stating, “The character limit is not large enough for me to express my appreciation to Commissioner Anderson and also to articulate what he has done for Utah. Simply put, thank you @andersonljess! You more than left a positive mark on our state with your dedicated service!”
The following day, July 17, Moore referenced his legislative efforts related to the Olympics: “I’m immensely proud to represent Utah in co-leading the America’s Olympic and Paralympic Games Commemorative Coins Act. The return of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games to Salt Lake City in 2034 will mark only the second time in history that the Winter Olympics have returned”. He then provided additional information by posting, “Read more about it here: https://t.co/DawevJtPv9”.
Blake Moore succeeded Rob Bishop as representative of Utah’s 1st congressional district beginning in 2021. Born in Ogden in 1980 and currently residing in Salt Lake City, Moore graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005.
