Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared updates on his legislative priorities and constituent engagement through a series of posts on social media.

On August 13, 2025, Moore highlighted an editorial on employee-owned companies and discussed his own efforts in Congress: “A great opinion piece from @Deseret on the benefits of employee-owned companies. I’m also leading legislation to help facilitate the sale of American businesses to American workers, enabling them to build substantial retirement assets and protecting our domestic supply chain.” In a follow-up post the same day, he directed followers to further information about his proposed bill: “Read more about the American Ownership and Resilience Act here: https://t.co/h7JjxypvuD”

Continuing his outreach, Moore posted on August 15, 2025 about a recent meeting with local stakeholders: “I convened my Debt and Deficit Task Force in Ogden to discuss the budget reconciliation bill, tariffs, healthcare, and other legislation impacting our national debt. Maintaining regular involvement with this group of constituents, stakeholders, and Utah businesses is essential https://t.co/mVQB79Dg8e”

Moore has served as Utah’s 1st District representative since replacing Rob Bishop in 2021. Born in Ogden in 1980 and now residing in Salt Lake City, Moore graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in 2005.
