Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared several updates on social media regarding developments impacting Utah. Moore highlighted new job opportunities, tax relief, and the state’s continued involvement in space exploration.
On April 1, 2026, Moore posted about a recent decision affecting Utah’s workforce and federal agency presence: “This is a big win for Utah and the West! The move will bring hundreds of jobs to Utah and will bring @forestservice leadership closer to where the work is happening on the ground. I’ve been engaged with the agency over the past year on their plans, and I will continue to press https://t.co/dZCa3pmXGg”.
Addressing tax policy changes ahead of Tax Day, Moore invited constituents to participate in an upcoming telephone town hall: “Tax day is almost here and we’re talking about this year’s historic relief at my next telephone town hall! Join me on April 15th at 7pm MT to learn more about the improvements Utahns will see on their returns and ask your questions live. https://t.co/2EVEyOFro2” (April 3, 2026).
Reflecting on his personal connection to Utah’s history in space technology, Moore shared a memory from his childhood education: “In fourth grade, I was assigned Box Elder for my county report. I still remember the poster I made (I’m sure my mom helped) with Golden Spike, fruit stands, and Morton Thiokol on it. Utah has always been a key player in space exploration and yesterday was no different. The fuel https://t.co/d7xkE3udcW” (April 3, 2026).
Moore succeeded Rob Bishop as representative of Utah’s 1st district in 2021 after earning his degree from the University of Utah in 2005. He was born in Ogden in 1980 and currently resides in Salt Lake City.
