Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted two legislative efforts via his official Twitter account. Moore, who succeeded Rob Bishop in 2021 and resides in Salt Lake City, shared updates on proposals addressing foreign funding in college athletics and regulatory reform.
On February 11, 2026, Moore posted about the introduction of bipartisan legislation aimed at restricting foreign money from entering U.S. college sports through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals. He wrote: “NIL should be used to support college athletes, not as a backdoor for moving foreign money into American institutions. I introduced the bipartisan No Foreign NIL Funds Act with @RepVeasey to prevent U.S. college sports from becoming a playpen for foreign money. Learn more here:”.
Two days later, on February 12, 2026, Moore referenced recognition for another piece of legislation focused on regulatory streamlining. He stated: “Happy to see my legislation was named Bill of the Month by the Taxpayers Protection Alliance! This legislation takes a meaningful step toward identifying and eliminating duplicative and outdated regulations. Learn more below https://t.co/6sOxMtFTSP”. A separate tweet containing only a link was also posted on the same date: “https://t.co/CeNEYPgw8K”.
Blake Moore is a native of Ogden, Utah and graduated from the University of Utah in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has served as a congressman since 2021.
