Congressman Blake Moore, who represents Utah’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address concerns about declining physical activity among Americans and its impact on health care costs.
On February 21, 2026, Moore posted: “Declining physical activity has been linked to over $100 billion in annual health care costs. Beyond the financial implications, sedentary lifestyles also pose a significant threat to Americans’ long-term quality of life. Two days later, on February 23, Moore announced an update regarding a community engagement event: “UPDATE! Our telephone town hall has moved to Thursday, 2/26 at 4pm! Dial in at 833-305-1678 and ask your questions live. https://t.co/G1XYzU6Jug”.
Blake Moore began serving as Utah’s representative in Congress in 2021 after succeeding Rob Bishop. Born in Ogden, Utah in 1980 and currently residing in Salt Lake City, Moore graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in 2005.
