On Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m., Emmaline DeGroot, a former Bonneville School standout, and her college team, the Southern Virginia Knights, suffered a 10-1 loss to the Roanoke Maroons in NCAA Division III softball play.
The contest was held at Harvey-Dryden Field and marked the Knights’ first game against the Maroons this season.
DeGroot pitched three innings, allowing two earned runs and tallying three strikeouts.
Southern Virginia is set to face Roanoke Maroons again at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at Harvey-Dryden Field.
