The Big Sky Conference announced on Apr. 30 that four members of the Weber State Wildcats women’s softball team have received all-conference honors for their performances this season.
These recognitions highlight the achievements of student-athletes who have made significant contributions to their team and stood out in conference play.
Jordan McMahon, a sophomore from Phoenix, Arizona, was named to the second-team as an outfielder. McMahon surpassed 100 career hits this season and led her team with a .399 batting average, collecting 73 hits and five doubles. Within the Big Sky Conference, she ranked first in both hits and triples, and fourth in batting average.
Apollonia Maldonado earned honorable mention at first base. The sophomore from Antioch, California led the Wildcats with a .591 slugging percentage, driving in 42 runs batted in (RBI), along with seven doubles and eight home runs. In conference statistics, Maldonado was fourth in RBI and fielding percentage and fifth for caught stealing by.
Sadie Kirk received honorable mention at second base after finishing the regular season with a .368 batting average, tallying 43 hits including 14 doubles and driving in 16 runs. Kirk also recorded a .951 fielding percentage with 45 putouts and 33 assists.
Jordan Hart was recognized as an honorable mention catcher. The sophomore from Surprise, Arizona ended her regular season with a .279 batting average alongside 24 hits and five RBI while posting a .970 fielding percentage with 82 putouts and 15 assists.
The Wildcats are scheduled to play against No. four-seeded Montana on May 4 at 9 a.m.
