Weber State’s Matthew Wilson was named the Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Week for the fourth time in a row, according to a March 25 announcement. The recognition comes after his performance at the UC San Diego Invitational, where he led the Wildcats.
Wilson’s achievement highlights his consistent play over recent tournaments. In the UC San Diego Invitational, he shot rounds of 72 and 71 before making six birdies in a final round of 67, finishing at six-under-par and securing fifth place.
This streak began with Wilson earning medalist honors at last fall’s Dolenc Invitational. He continued to receive weekly honors following strong showings at both the Bill Cullum Invitational in February and the Colin Montgomerie Invitational earlier in March.
In addition to his Big Sky accolades, Wilson earned two Summit League Golfer of the Week awards during the 2024-25 season. These recognitions bring his total number of league weekly honors to six for his collegiate career.
Wilson’s ongoing success underscores his role as a key player for Weber State golf and reflects both individual talent and team leadership as he continues through this season.
