Senator Mike Lee made a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) in August 2025, addressing issues related to immigration policy and legislative proposals.

On August 19, 2025, Lee criticized sanctuary cities run by Democrats. He stated, “Every Democrat sanctuary city acts as a flashing sign to all Americans: ‘We would rather help illegals break the law and harm our own citizens than protect your family.'”

Later that day, he advocated for legislative action at both the state and national level. Lee wrote, “A great idea for Utah and the entire country. Pass the SAVE Act!” The SAVE Act refers to proposed legislation aimed at strengthening employment verification systems and increasing enforcement against unauthorized immigration.

On August 20, 2025, Lee continued his commentary on immigration policy. He posted, “Their only alternative was to stop enabling infinite illegal immigration. So you can see what a dilemma they were in.”

Senator Mike Lee represents Utah in the U.S. Senate and has been an outspoken advocate for stricter immigration controls and reforms.
