U.S. Senator Mike Lee, who represents Utah and maintains offices in Salt Lake City, St. George, Vernal, and Washington, D.C., has recently posted a series of statements on social media advocating for increased election security measures.
On March 18, 2026, Lee stated: “Voting is a constitutionally protected right of American citizens. That is precisely why we should put safeguards in place to ensure it remains THEIR right—and theirs alone. Proving citizenship and voter ID protects and preserves American rights. Pass the SAVE America Act.”
Later that day, he addressed concerns about non-citizens obtaining driver’s licenses: “In every state in the union, non-citizens can get a drivers license. In 19 states and the District of Columbia, illegal immigrants can get a drivers license as well. We need REAL election security.”
In another post on March 18, Lee commented on partisan attitudes toward election interference: “Democrats are suddenly unconcerned about foreign election interference, if it means ensuring only Americans vote. I wonder why that is.”
Senator Lee’s public advocacy aligns with his legislative priorities as outlined on his official website, where he promotes limited government, fiscal responsibility, energy independence, military strength, balanced budget amendments, term limits, and action on public safety and economic issues. As the United States Senator for Utah representing the entire state, Lee also engages constituents through multiple office locations and offers services related to federal matters.
