Mike Lee, United States Senator for Utah, used his social media platform on January 6 and 7, 2026, to comment on legislative priorities and government spending.

On January 6, Lee expressed support for the SAVE Act in a post stating, “Thank you, Mr. President! The SAVE Act will help SAVE America! Let’s get it done.” Later that day, he addressed concerns about proposed legislative language with another post: “If this language makes it to the Senate, I’m ripping it out. Insulting to American taxpayers.”

The following day, Lee commented on federal earmarks and government spending: “One terrible earmark down, dozens more to go. We should not be shoveling billions in taxpayer dollars to Democrat pet projects at any time, let alone while they obstruct our legislation & nominees. It should be the bare minimum expected of Republicans, not just ‘hardliners.'”

Senator Mike Lee represents the entire state of Utah and maintains offices in Salt Lake City, St. George, Vernal, and Washington D.C., according to his official website. He is known for advocating limited government and fiscal responsibility while focusing on issues such as energy independence and military strength (source). His legislative work also addresses public safety, health care, economic matters, balanced budget amendments and term limits (source).
