Senate Energy Committee schedules hearing on bulk power system for March 25

The U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources announced on March 24 its schedule for the week, including a full committee hearing to examine the state of the bulk power system. The hearing is set for Wednesday, March 25, at 9:30 am.

The committee said the session will be webcast live on its website, with an archived video made available shortly after it concludes. Witness testimony will also be posted online at the start of the hearing.

Scheduled witnesses include Todd Snitchler, President and CEO of the Electric Power Supply Association; Travis Fisher, Director of Energy and Environmental Policy Studies at the Cato Institute; and Dr. Liza Reed, Director of Climate and Energy Policy at the Niskanen Center.

The upcoming hearing aims to provide insights into current issues facing the nation’s bulk power system as policymakers seek expert input from industry leaders and policy analysts.
