The upcoming hearing is set for Thursday, March 18, at 9:30 am. The session will focus on how the Department of Energy is carrying out directives related to nuclear energy policy issued by President Trump last year.

Witnesses scheduled to testify include Theodore J. Garrish, Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy; Dr. John C. Wagner, Director of Idaho National Laboratory; and Dr. Mike Laufer, Co-founder and CEO of Kairos Power.

The committee said the hearing will be webcast live on its website, with an archived video available shortly after it concludes. Witness testimony will also be posted online at the start of the hearing.
