The office of Congressman Blake Moore has been recognized as a finalist for the Congressional Management Foundation’s (CMF) Democracy Award for Constituent Service. This accolade acknowledges their exemplary constituent services program serving Utah’s First District. The office is praised for its regular in-person and telephone town halls, staff-led mobile office hours, weekly e-newsletter, casework protocol, among other initiatives.
“Since my first day in office, I have held the motto: No one in Washington ever voted for me. My constituents elected me to this role, and serving and representing them in Congress is my first priority,” said Congressman Blake Moore. “Everything my team and I do connects back to our constituents, and we put a strong emphasis on getting out into communities, engaging with Utahns to help with their questions and casework."
Bradford Fitch, President and CEO of the Congressional Management Foundation added that “As a Democracy Award finalist, the Rep. Moore office is clearly one of the best in Congress,” he said. “This designation demonstrates that Rep. Moore has made a significant commitment to being the best public servant for his constituents."
CMF outlined several reasons why Rep. Moore's office was selected as a finalist for this award: efficient operations, effective casework management, frequent communication with constituents through various channels including newsletters and town halls, accessibility through mobile office hours and more.
The Congressional Management Foundation’s Democracy Awards recognize non-legislative achievement and performance in congressional offices across four categories: Constituent Service, Constituent Accountability and Accessibility, “Life in Congress” Workplace Environment, and Innovation and Modernization. Winners will be announced in July.
