Weber State University’s women’s golf team finished in sixth place at the Bobcat Desert Classic on April 15, concluding its final tournament before the Big Sky Conference Championships. The event was held at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona.
The Wildcats posted a three-round total score of 888, with individual round scores of 290, 304, and 294. Seattle University won the team title with a total score of 873, placing Weber State fifteen shots behind.
Cala Korman led Weber State by finishing tenth overall after shooting rounds of 72, 74, and 73 for a combined score of three-over-par (219). Braylyn Bayer tied for twelfth place with a five-over-par total (221), recording even-par rounds on Monday and Wednesday and a second round score of seventy-seven. Emily Song shot one-under-par (71) in her final round to tie for thirtieth place overall with a combined score of two-hundred twenty-five.
Other contributors included Sofia Fuenmayor who tied for thirty-eighth at eleven-over-par (227), and Adley Nelson who tied for forty-eighth at sixteen-over-par (232). Brynn Bischoff competed as an individual and tied for sixty-fourth place with twenty-one-over-par (237). Jade Gruher also participated as an individual but withdrew during the opening round.
Wyoming’s Kiley Reisner claimed individual medalist honors by finishing five-under-par (211).
The Wildcats are scheduled to compete next at the Big Sky Championships from April twentieth to twenty-second at Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
