Weber State to host WSU Spring Classic track meet on April 10

The Weber State men’s track and field team will host the WSU Spring Classic on April 10 at the Chick Hislop Track and Field at Stewart Stadium.

The event provides an opportunity for athletes, students, and community members to attend a local collegiate track meet. Admission is free, with entry available through the northeast entrance of the stadium. Parking will be provided in the W4 Lot located north of the stadium.

Competition will begin with the Women’s Hammer Throw at 11 a.m., followed by track events starting at 4:30 p.m. with the Women’s 100-meter hurdles. Senior recognition is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The WSU Spring Classic will be held in conjunction with the University of Utah Spring Classic on April 11 in Salt Lake City at the McCarthey Family Track and Field Complex. Events there are set to start at 10 a.m. with the Women’s Heptathlon Long Jump.

After these meets, Weber State’s team plans to compete during a split weekend: some athletes will participate in the Bryan Clay Invitational from April 16-18 in Azusa, California, while others will attend the Oregon Team Challenge on April 17-18 in Eugene, Oregon.

Weber State softball season ends with loss to Northern Colorado

Weber State’s softball team ended its season with a loss to Northern Colorado at the Big Sky Tournament. The Wildcats started strong but could not hold off their opponents’ offense. The team’s final record stands at 14-42.
