Weber State University will recognize more than 3,880 graduates during commencement and convocation ceremonies scheduled for April 24–25. The university reports that these students are earning over 4,517 credentials, including certificates as well as associate’s, bachelor’s, and postgraduate degrees.
The large number of graduates highlights the university’s expanding pathways that help students begin and complete their education goals. Over the past decade, Weber State has awarded an increasing number of degrees and certificates.
Interim President Leslie Durham said, “I’m incredibly proud of our graduates for continually showing us that a degree from Weber State is a powerful investment in their future and community. It’s wonderful to see so many students recognizing that the hard work they put into their education here opens doors for a lifetime.”
This spring’s most-awarded degrees include nursing, radiography, health sciences, and computer science. About 89% of the student body during the 2025–26 academic year comes from Utah. This means most new graduates will contribute directly to the local workforce.
Ceremonies will take place across two days on campus in Ogden. Individual college convocations start Friday morning at 9 a.m., where each graduate walks across the stage while their name is read aloud. The main commencement event takes place Friday evening at Dee Events Center at 7 p.m., open to all graduates and community members free of charge.
Guest speaker Kyle Poll—CEO of GetOutPass and a WSU graduate—will address attendees during commencement. Poll has led GetOutPass through recent growth and a merger providing families access to more than 2,000 attractions in various U.S. markets.
