The Weber State volleyball program announced on May 6 the addition of Brandon Watson as an assistant coach.
Watson joins Weber State after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of West Florida, where he coached and developed serving techniques, conducted film review and statistical analysis, assisted with team travel, and served as a practice player.
Before his time at West Florida, Watson was a student assistant at the University of Arkansas. In that role, he provided statistical analysis for the women’s volleyball program and supported game-day operations. He also assisted in practices with serving and passing drills and helped with rotational analysis during matches. Additionally, Watson worked for Gold Medal Squared as a lead volleyball camp coach during his college years.
“Brandon’s work ethic, volleyball eye, and passion for the teaching process made him a wonderful fit for our program,” said Head Coach Jeremiah Larsen. “We are looking forward to having him in our gym and helping our team grow and develop.”
Watson earned his bachelor’s degree in recreation and sport management from the University of Arkansas.
