Weber State women’s tennis falls to Fresno State; prepares for conference play

The Weber State Wildcats women’s tennis team ended their weekend with a 4-0 loss against the Fresno State Bulldogs in Fresno, California.

During doubles play, Weber State was defeated on Court #1 with a score of 6-3 and on Court #3 with a score of 6-2. The match featuring Naomi and Savannah Johnson at the #2 position was not completed.

In singles competition, Fresno State secured victories in three matches that finished, all in straight sets. Matches at positions #1, #4, and #6 were unfinished when the overall result was decided.

Weber State will next play against Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho on Sunday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Idaho State enters the match with a season record of 5-4 and is currently on a five-match winning streak.

Weber State’s softball team ended its season with a loss to Northern Colorado at the Big Sky Tournament. The Wildcats started strong but could not hold off their opponents’ offense. The team’s final record stands at 14-42.
