The Weber State men’s track and field team competed at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, California, and the Triton Invitational in La Jolla, California on April 3-4. Wyatt Larkins broke his own school record in the hammer throw with a distance of 218 feet, 11 inches.
Head Coach Corbin Talley said, “We had a very successful weekend in California. We picked up a bunch of PR’s and a few all-time top 10 marks.”
Several athletes made changes to the school’s all-time top ten lists during these competitions. Colby Jenks recorded the sixth-best time in school history for the 800 meters at 1:49.85, while Joe Corbridge achieved ninth place with a time of 1:50.00. In the 5,000 meters, Owen Rogers moved into ninth place with a time of 14:08.34 and Tyler Spencer claimed tenth with a finish of 14:11.54.
